Howdy Folks!

For a look at the last week in pictures, click here.

070924 002Em’s Aunts and cousins came over last week for a visit which was great. We’ve been remiss in not getting over to Alameda since the girls came around – but they were gracious enough to let us off the hook! I was messing with the ISO on my camera for some of those shots… so no: you’re not on acid. My camera looks like it was though.

070924 054Dad’s been rocking the girls a bit… best to woo them early, I figure – before they figure me out! They’ve been so expressive – smiling and laughing already at 5 weeks. Of course, there is some critiquing of Dad’s unique playing style, and song selection is always under scrutiny. But I bust a sweet set every now and again for them, and they groove. They are Em’s girls, after all… they’ll be dancers! At least I hope they take after her… wouldn’t want them dancing like their Dad or anything. That white man’s overbite is soo 1985!

070924 078We – very bravely – went to Tom and Anastasia’s wedding last weekend up in Lake County at this incredible retreat center called Saratoga Springs. The venue was amazing, the food was great, the folks were kind and generous, and the girls were a hit. That is, until about midnight. Then it became apparent that Miss Isabella is not fond of salmon (which we had for dinner – did I mention the food was great?). The poor girl had a rough night, as did Mom and Dad. Olivia? She snoozed through the whole thing. But we learned a lot from our first big outing, and it was oh-so-special to be there with Tom and Anastasia on their big day. And did I mention how cool everyone was? Such nice folks…

070924 092On the way home from Lake County on Sunday – Sunday the 23rd of September, Emily’s birthday – we stopped in for a visit with Eric and Ericka in Petaluma. Soon enough we turned our “quick stop” into a full-fledged dinner with all the birthday trimmings! Very generous of them indeed to allow us to just take over their digs for a soiree like that. Paul and Jen stopped by, we all had a great time and a great meal.

That’s it from here for now… see y’all soon!

Cheers,
PAZ

G’day,

There’s been lots of horsing around this past week: click here for a slideshow.

070916 018We’ve been getting out a bit and taking the girls for walks in the jogger. They just crash right out in that thing: it’s the bomb! Dad and Jack can do a few laps too and give Em a break every now and then, which isn’t too shabby.

070916 053Jackson has been getting to know his sisters all too well, and learning that being a big brother isn’t just about fart jokes. Well, so far it’s all about fart jokes, but later we’re going to be very serious about it and all…

070916 069Jack’s also been reaping the rewards of having a generous engineer for a grandfather, as Don put together a sweet electric car for him this week. Good gravy: the kid’s up to his armpits in crazy toys! We figured we owed the Dianda’s a visit this week, as they’ve been out to see us so often… of course we ate enough food for 3 families, and it was a beautiful day in Tracy.

Anyways: click here for a slideshow of the week in pictures.

Cheers!

Howdy Folks!

So many adventures! Every day a new one it seems. We went to Muir Beach and Limantour, and tried to keep the babies out of the sand. Jack actually went swimming it was so hot: but brrr that water’s cold!!!

070912 133We had the blessings of many visits and lots of fun bread-breaking with fun folks this month. Sooooo yummy! They were – every one of them – the second best dinners I ever had! (the best dinner will always be tomorrow night) Thanks everybody!

070912 036Lucas turned two – the little nut! The kid’s a peanut, I swear. We went to his phat bash: it was sweet! (But Jack got stung by a bee: doh!) All these kids growing up together? It gonna be nuttier than peanuts. We may move on to almonds. Cashews may come into play: we’re in negotiations. Stay tuned. Peanuts could be a gateway nut. I digress. But the kids? Crazynutown.

070912 105The Dianda’s have been out of control helping us out. There’s no way Em and I could handle these two nippers without having both of our families’ support, and we’re ever mindful of that. As we build a family,it’s great to see what “family” means in our world, and to have that be something so deep and special for Jackson, Olivia, and Isabella.070912 087

Man: I got no time to go on… but take a look and feel free to post to the blog comments! Click here for a slideshow of the latest set of images (070912)
