Holiday Howdies!
Wow: here’s a look at the latest and greatest… some great images of great memories in there: click here.
Where to start? Well, we went out to the beach the weekend before our big trip back east. So there are a few shots in there. Jackson was absent, and we went way out to the end of Pt. Reyes into the elk preserve to a beach that was beautiful and wind swept… the girls were safely ensconced in their little carriers and out of the sand and wind. It was a nice day.
We also had a chance to sit and sip some marg’s with our good friend Jen and company up in Petaluma for a night out with the girls. It was a blast just to get out of the house on a weekend night. And of course, celebrating with Jen and our pals was a gas!
Next up? The Big Trip. Emily and I loaded up Jackson, Isabella, and Olivia for a trip to Philadelphia to see my folks. Jackson – of course – was a champ on the plane and throughout the entire trip. And the girls? Man, did they make it easy on Mommy and Daddy. Both of them slept almost the entire plane ride (both there and back) and we didn’t have one melt down (knock on wood). Of course, Peter, Jennifer, and John had everything all planned out perfectly for our trip, and made everything so easy and fun for everyone.
Their generosity truly knows no bounds when it comes to time and thoughtfulness… everyone had a blast. We spent a couple of days in Philadelphia, and had a nice Christmas celebration with all the kids and
Mom and Dad.
Next up, we were off to Pete and Jen’s pad in the Pocono’s. We had a couple of nice relaxing days, and the snow was plentiful! Their pad is off the hook – just the perfect escape, no matter what you’re escaping. Em and I joked that we ought to move up there. All of the boys – Henry, Benjamin, and Jackson – kicked it old school. Those guys all had a great dynamic hanging out.
Nice kids! The girls, again, were great. They just roll with whatever they’re dealt, and seemed to be happy in every situation… even a blinding snowstorm!
Then it was back down to Philly, where my camera batteries seemed to die during every event. Doh. But take my word for it: there were large, two-person cocktails, good times, and much rejoicing.
Our deep thanks go out to Peter, Jennifer, Henry, Benjamin, and John for taking the time with us and showing us such a great time!
Ho ho ho!
