Lots of big news for the kids lately. Isabella now has TWO teeth. Both girls are eating all kinds of solid foods. Olivia’s not as interested as Bella with the variety of foodstuffs, but we look at that more along the lines of Livvie being right where she ought to be, and Bella being ahead of where a kid her age would normally be.

Jackson’ been reading up a storm. And not just “See Spot run,” stuff. Jack and I have one more book to go in the “Spiderwick” series of books, and Jackson reads quite a bit on his own. He’s still into his animal books, but he’s been digging stories about Greek and Roman Mythology and crazy beasts.

We’ve also been blessed with lots of visits and visitors. Jack and I drove up to Truckee for a quick visit with Keith and Theresa and snuck in a little sledding while poaching their bunk beds (thanks guys!), and got to see the Varisco clan as well (right before the baby came!). Breanna and Danielle came over for a visit with the kids in tow which was a special treat, and the meal was delish! And Emily’s pal Valerie came up from So. Cal. for a few days for some super huge quality time with the girls, which was fantastic. Whew: it’s funny, but we go along day to day with the girls and Jackson and it all seems like so much work, but the payoffs are massive. Thanks everybody for making the time so special.
